Learn how to update content, manage CMS items, and edit metadata in Webflow without affecting the site’s structure.
How to access editor
Option 1 (Recommended)
Go to your Webflow Dashboard, hover over the site, and click "Open in Webflow."
Option 2 (URL Shortcut)
Add ?update to the end of any page URL (e.g., yourwebsite.com/page-name?update). You will need a Webflow account associated with the email address Mammoth invited. If you don't have one yet, you'll be prompted to create one the first time you accept your Client Seat invitation.
Note: The old ?edit URL pattern and the legacy Editor will be retired on August 4, 2026.

Add & Update Dynamic Content (CMS)
Update an existing entry
- Open CMS and choose the relevant collection.
- Select the entry you want to update.
- Edit its text, images, and other fields.
- Publish the result.
Add a new entry
- Open the relevant collection and choose the new-item button.
- Add your content and complete the required fields.

Published CMS updates can appear in several places-for example, a project listing and its individual project page.
Preview & Publish Changes
Publish page edits
- Select Publish.
- Choose your live website domain.
- Select Publish to selected domains.
- Open the live page and check the result.
A full-site publish can include other ready changes and queued CMS updates.
Publish a CMS entry
- Publish now: Make the entry’s updates live immediately.
- Queue for next site publish: Include its updates in the next full-site publish.
- Leave in draft: Keep unfinished content unpublished.
Saving is different from publishing. CMS changes left in draft will not go live with a full-site publish.
View & Download Form Submissions
Read submissions
- Open Site settings → Forms.
- Find the relevant form and select View submissions.
- Review the entries in the Submissions tab.
Download a copy
Select Export all to download a CSV file. You can open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or another spreadsheet app.
Uploaded files appear as links in the export, rather than being downloaded with it.
Missing an enquiry or notification email? Contact Mammoth with the form name and approximate submission time. We can also help change who receives notification emails.
Update Meta Titles & Descriptions
For a regular website page
- Open Pages and select the page’s settings.
- Find SEO settings.
- Update the Title tag and Meta description.
- Save your changes and publish the website.
What should you write?
- Title tag: A clear page title, usually followed by your business name.
- Meta description: A short, accurate summary that helps someone decide whether to visit the page.
Example:
Title: About Us | Example Studio
Description: Meet the team behind Example Studio and learn how we approach our work.
For posts, projects, or other CMS entries: If the collection includes SEO fields, edit them within the individual entry.
Search results may take time to update, and search engines may display different wording.
